Opening Reception for "Slices of Life" at Jefferson Arts Gallery, paintings by Steve Musgrove Saturday October 6 from 2 until 4 pm.

Steve Musgrove has been recording "Slices of Life" in the Suwannee River Valley and Rural North Florida since 1975. His interest in art emerged when he received a one dollar check as an  art prize in the fourth grade.  He never cashed it and still has it to this day.

Steve continued to develope his art through art courses he took at Suwannee High School, North Florida Community College and Florida State University. Steve is best known for his rural scenes and still lifes. He also enjoys painting portraits. He has worked in several mediums, but he primarily works with watercolor and pencil.

Steve says beauty can be found anywhere and everywhere in the people and this world God has created. He enjoys finding, capturing and displaying that beauty in the "Slices of Life" he creates.
