No Facebook!  No TV!  What did people do for fun back then?  One social activity was to have a candy party.  We will make old-fashioned from-scratch candy, probably molasses taffy, on the wood stove in the 1880 kitchen.  This will involve fire and handling hot candy so it is not recommended for small children.
