Join Leon County for the continuation of the 2018 Leon County Library Lecture Series. The lecture titled “Lessons from Bogota and Beyond: Walking, Bicycling, and Creating a Vibrant and Healthy City”, will give an interactive look into innovative solutions that communities around the world are implementing. Learn how citizens can come together locally to enhance mobility and public space so that together we can create a more vibrant, healthy, and equitable community.

Presented by Gil Penalosa, the internationally recognized 8 80 Cities founder/chair will share his experience designing cities; great for planners and citizens alike.8 80 is the belief that whether you’re 8 or 80 years old, cities should work for everyone. Gil advises decision makers and communities on how to create vibrant cities and healthy communities for everyone, regardless of age, gender, social, economic, or ethnic background. Penalosa has helped more than 200 cities around the world create, healthy, vibrant, and sustainable communities for everyone.
