While reading about telling opportunities on the National Storytelling Network’s website, Madison storyteller Wanda Violet was intrigued as she read about Tellabration!™ - an annual worldwide storytelling event which brings together storytelling enthusiasts--both tellers and listeners--on the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Violet determined that her community of Madison, Florida, could do that, too!  So with the help of her husband, James Glaser, and other enthusiastic volunteers, she produced the first local Tellabration!™. This year marks the 5th Annual event, and it is growing bigger each year. Set just outside Madison on a beautiful farm, the pastoral setting draws hundreds of listeners to step away from their busy lives and join together to listen to and celebrate the art and tradition of storytelling.
