Come out to FSU’s Student Life Center to join a conversation about identity and the independent comic book industry with writer Ananth Hirsch and artist Tess Stone!
Union Productions/Club Downunder is proud to work with the Florida State University's Student Life Center to present a night of discussion regarding identity in the independent comic industry with writer Ananth Hirsch and artist Tess Stone with a Q+A session immediately following for event attendees.
Ananth Hirsh is the critically acclaimed and award winning co-creator behind Johnny Wander. He has released award winning collections of his autobiographical work, Our Cats Are More Famous Than Us (978-1620103838, Oni Press) and fiction work, Lucky Penny (978-1620102879, Oni Press) with his partner Yuko Ota. His current focus is BARBAROUS (www.johnnywander.com/barbarous) a comedy drama involving magic and monster men.
Tess Stone is a fan of comedy, horror, and really bright colors. He often tries to smash them all into one horrendously delightful package either in terms of writing or drawing. Or Both. He also really enjoys sloths because they take their life slowly and he’s very jealous. His critically acclaimed horror comedy series, Not Drunk Enough, can be read online at notdrunkenough.com
