Pierce Pettis and David Webb at MusicLand

Pierce Pettis and David Webb at MusicLand

Presented by Canopy Arts Collaborative at MusicLand Co-op

Pierce Pettis, legendary Tallahassee singer/songwriter, returns to MusicLand on September 22nd with long time collaborator David Webb for a special concert introducing his new CD Father’s Son. Pierce began his long career as a writer/artist at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama and later as a staff songwriter for Polygram/Universal Music in Nashville.  His songs have been recorded by artists ranging from Garth Brooks and Dion to Joan Baez and Art Garfunkel.  David Webb, renowned Austin based keyboard player (and former Tallahassee resident), will be accompanying Pierce.  David plays bass with his left hand and Hammond w/his right, so it’ll be more like a band.  David received his B.M. degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in 1982. Over a 35 year career, he has performed and recorded across nearly the entire spectrum of American popular music styles.  Pierce's lyrical style and acoustic presentation are a perfect match for MusicLand's listening room.  Free parking, BYOB, friendly and easy.  Come on out.
