1st Friday Lecture Series

1st Friday Lecture Series

Presented by Goodwood Museum & Gardens at Goodwood Museum and Gardens

Best bulbs for southern gardens

There are many beautiful flowering bulbs for southern gardens, but too often area gardeners spend their time and money on bulbs better suited for northern gardens – bulbs that have to be pre-chilled for weeks and then last only one season. Join Audrey Post, aka "Ms. Grow-It-All®," a UF/IFAS certified advanced Master Gardener, for a program on "Great Bulbs for Red Hills and Panhandle Gardens" at noon Friday, Oct. 5, at Goodwood Museum & Gardens in Tallahassee.

The program is part of Goodwood's Free Friday Lecture Series, usually held the first Friday of the month in Jubilee Cottage. Feel free to bring your lunch, order takeout from the cafe on the premises, or stroll over to the cafe for lunch afterward. Goodwood Museum & Gardens is located at 1600 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee.

Ms. Grow-It-All® shares her gardening expertise in every issue of EC and Tallahassee magazines, the second Saturday of each month on Tallahassee CBS affiliate WCTV’s “Good Morning” show, and in workshops at area nurseries throughout the year.
