Be part of a magic evening as a full moon rises over Lake Hall when the Friends of Maclay Gardens presents the 9th Annual Moon Over Maclay jazz concert at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park on Oct. 21. The concert will be from 6 to 9 p.m.; the gate opens at 5 p.m. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, picnic supper and beverages of your choice; alcohol is permitted. Choose a place on the lawn in front of the Maclay house, relax under the moonlight and enjoy some great music. This year’s headliner is Avis Berry~Colleen Nixon & the Jasmine. The opening act will be the Thursday Night Music Club.
“Moon Over Maclay” is a fundraising event sponsored by the Friends of Maclay Gardens, Inc., whose mission is to support, protect and preserve Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. All proceeds support the historic gardens and park.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $10f or children and students with ID and $20 for Friends of Maclay Gardens. Purchase advance tickets online at http://friendsofmaclaygardens.org, at the Maclay Gardens Ranger Station, 3540 Thomasville Road, or on the day of the event.
