Thomasville Entertainment Foundation's 81st anniversary concert series opens with the internationally acclaimed violinist and musical activist Daniel Hope, along with five virtuoso collaborators, tracing the evolution of the violin during a dynamic period of development, discovery and experimentation. The program, entitled Air - A Baroque Journey, features the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann and Handel. Hope is music director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and artistic partner of the San Francisco-based New Century Chamber Orchestra, directing the ensemble from the violin.
