Professor Wells-Bowie’s presentation draws from her childhood experiences in the Sea Islands as well as funded research. Both have informed her career emphasis in the relationships between culture and architecture.
The Gullah exhibit at ABG also features a display of Gullah Architecture of the Low Country.
