We are glad to participate in the 100 Thousand Poets for Change global initiative “Read A Poem To A Child”. Rebecca will be reading children’s poetry on Sunday, and we will have our children’s poetry books available all week for anyone to read from in the store or to purchase. We believe in the importance of reading aloud to children and encouraging them to find their love of reading. By holding a monthly Storytime every second Sunday at 2pm in our kids’ section we’ll share our love of books. Sunday Stories at My Favorite Books will be different every month; we’ll do a craft, sing a song, have special guests, dress in our pajamas, or who knows! Watch our Facebook page for updates on what will be happening each time. We hope you’ll join us on our journey to encourage and make reading fun!
