Apalachicola Arsenal Museum is pleased to present the first annual “Beauty from the Brain” Art Exhibit featuring over 20 works of art created by the Florida State Hospital Residents Art Group.
The "Beauty from the Brain" Art Exhibit features over 20 works of art created by Florida State Hospital Residents Art Group. The four artists being featured are truly unique and talented people. Vincent Van Gogh created his most famous work "Starry Nights" while confined to a mental facility. Mental illness is an illness...it does not remove your loves, your likes, your hope nor your talents. Perhaps the next Van Gogh is right here in our own backyard. Opening night will feature the displayed original art, opportunities to purchase prints of those displayed, music provided by award winning songwriter/musician, Roger Stephens, food provided by highly acclaimed Rutabaga Café and more surprises. Tickets go on sale September 1st and are limited. Tickets $20 per person; $35 per couple. To order tickets or for more information contact Linda Kranert at lkranert222@gmail.com or call (850) 794-0197. Check us out on Facebook at the Apalachicola Arsenal Museum Historical Society.
