WFSU Public Media and the Leroy Collins Public Library invite you to celebrate a love for literature with our special Get [Lit] party.
The Great American Read is a PBS program that focuses on the question “What is America’s favorite book?” Since last spring, people across the country have been voting online for their favorite books from a list of 100. (See the list and vote here: www.pbs.org/greatamericanread) In September, we enter the final chapters of this contest as WFSU and PBS bring you a recap of the top 100 and 5 special episodes relating to themes in these books.
On Thursday, September 13th, WFSU will have an advance screening of one of those themed episodes in our studio called “Villains and Monsters”.
Dress as your favorite fictional character, enjoy light refreshmets, vote for your favorite #GreatReadPBS book, and see a free screening of an upcoming episode of The Great American Read: Monsters and Villains.
This event is sponsored by: WFSU Public Media, Leroy Collins Leon County Library, and The Great American Read. Major production funding provided by Anne Ray Foundation, A Margaret A.
