It looks so simple! Just a few strokes creates an orchid or bamboo, but there is so much more to it.
Ann Kozeliski, Art Director, LeMoyne Arts, will demonstrate the art of bamboo brush painting also known Sumi-e'. A national award winning Sumi-e' artist, Ann will discuss the subtleties that go into learning this ancient art-form.
Surrounded by the Ink Noble Exhibit, currently at LeMoyne, the artwork of Shan and Xinyue Gao of Tianjin China, serve as the perfect backdrop and references as you learn the technique used to created their beautiful works of art.
