The Quincy Music Theatre presents Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, August 17th through 26th at the Historic Leaf Theatre.
This year’s final summer show, “Into The Woods,” will take The Quincy Music Theatre stage August 17th through August 26.th
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
The Quincy Music Theatre is located at the Leaf Theatre at 118 East Washington Street in downtown Quincy Florida.
Show times are: Opening night Friday, August 17th at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday night (August 18th) at 7:30 p.m. with a Sunday Matinee (August 19th) at 2:30 p.m.
Shows will continue the next weekend August 24th through August 26th with Friday and Saturday night shows at 7:30 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students (with I.D.) and senior citizens (55 and older) are available online at qmt.org, by calling the box office at 850-875-9444, Tuesday through Friday from noon until 6 p.m. or at the theatre box office prior to the show.
