All candidates for office are invited to share their favorite poem with the Big Bend Poets & Writers at our August monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
The Poemedy Institute is dedicated to promoting the art and science of eloquence. This event is an opportunity to hear rhetoric from candidates for office that is poetic, eloquent and reflects something about the candidate that is important yet not readily apparent.
Any member of the community that wishes to read wants to arrive by 6:30pm to sign up on a first come - first serve basis. We invite you to bring your ballots with you and to let your favorite candidates know about this rare opportunity to transcend their policy agenda and connect with voters on a literary level.
