Poetry Is a Voice of the Soul! Have You Found Your Voice? Tue., Aug. 21, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., TSC Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St. If you love reading poetry or would like to learn about it. Find your voice at a poetry workshop sponsored by Poetry for The Love of It, TSC’s chapter of Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). Explore the poetic craft, featuring Al Rocheleau. Al has published numerous poems in national and international publications, is the founder of Twelve Chairs Advanced Poetry Course, has lectured at multiple universities, and is a frequent lecturer for FSPA and Florida Writers Association. Come enjoy this poetic craftsman as he covers course examples and exercises that focus on many poetic devices, such as: layers of craft; poetic imagery; returning words to real objects; the poet-as-philosopher; use of the subject-vehicle; and the use of viewpoint and parallelism. $15 fee for class includes lunch; $7 without lunch; Space is limited.
