Artopia is a charity art fundraising event that benefits Big Bend Cares. 350 art pieces of a variety of mediums is auctioned off to raise money for HIV/AIDS client support. This lively event has both a silent and live auction component.
Artopia is a charity art fundraising event that benefits Big Bend Cares. Local and regional artists donate their artwork for this event, which includes a few signed and numbered limited editions. With art and media including painting, sculpture, photography, arts and crafts, and more, Artopia has become a must-attend event, drawing approximately 750 participants per year. Artopia features both silent auctions, and a rousing live auction at the end of the evening. But you don’t need to be an art critic to enjoy this lively event! As a matter of fact, there’s just about something for everyone—beautiful art at a reasonable price—in just about every form you can think of! Last year Artopia featured more than 300 pieces of original artwork, including oils, pastels, acrylics, photography, scenography, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, mixed-media and much, much more. In addition to all of the artwork, local businesses and individuals donate gift certificates or other goodies that you can bid on.

After the live auction, bidders may want to stay to check out their won items and take them home. However, the event formally ends around 10:00 pm.

Parking in available in our main lot located off of Pensacola St. And also the surrounding garages. Disabled parking is located in all lots surrounding the arena. A disabled parking permit is required for admittance into the disabled parking areas. The location for accessible parking and transportation is located at the Copeland Street Parking Garage. The entrance into the Garage will be from South Copeland Street, with the exception of Accessible Vans using the St. Augustine Street entrance. The Dial-A-Ride Bus Line will pick-up at the bus loading zone on South Copeland Street beginning two hours prior to kick-off. All patron vehicular traffic must flow from Pensacola Street to South Copeland Street for entry. Dial-A-Ride Tickets are $5.00 each, cash only and available at pick-up location.
