Graeme James released his first original single “Alive” in 2015, which placed second in a major international songwriting competition and has accumulated nearly 2 million streams on Spotify.
Graeme James will loop you in with his layered indie folk music while blending the tones of his voice, violin and acoustic guitar.
After the impulse purchase of a loop pedal, the New Zealand native was able to take each of these instrumental layers and create the sound of a full band by himself.
His debut original album “News From Nowhere” released in September 2016 peaked at number three on the New Zealand album chart, number 26 on the Top 40 album chart and was the finalist in the NZ Music Awards 2017 Folk Album of the Year.
