Headliner: Nashville, Tennessee - Scooter Brown Band

The Scooter Brown Band was formed by a former United States Marine, Scott Brown, in 2005 and played mainly in and around Houston, Texas. It wasn’t until 2009 with the release of their first studio album, “Between Hell & Texas,” that they gained a notable presence in the Texas music scene. Along with their growing notoriety came their first radio single “Apology.” Other radio releases were soon to follow and include “Whiskey Talkin”, “Soldiers Christmas Eve”, “Feels Like Home,”, and “Summer Song”. In 2010, Scooter Brown Band put out the album “LIVE at BIG TEXAS”. In 2013, they followed up with their next studio album, “VALOR” and the album “Scooter Brown Band” released on September 18, 2015. In 2016, Scooter Brown Band joined with the well established Nashville booking agents at APA. They have toured Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Wisconsin, New York, Washington D.C., and Tennessee, headlining shows and opening for some of the biggest names in the business. On September 8, 2017 Scooter Brown Band released their latest album, “American Son”, including the title-track featuring Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels. “I’ve never been more excited to release a new record as I am on “American Son”. We lived the songs, wrote the songs, recorded the songs and performed the songs. I couldn’t be more proud of this collection of music,” said lead singer Scooter Brown.

Featured Performer: Farmerville, LA - Donovan Chapman Band

Country music recording artist Donovan Chapman is back and bringing some newly developed music to perform exclusively at “Rockin’ with Spirit”.

To his credits, Chapman has recorded studio albums for Curb Records and Category 5 Records and charted four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. He peaked with the No. 42 “House Like That” in late 2006 – early 2007.

Chapman’s career has been a winding road. His mother exposed him to music from her native Hawaii at an early age and he soon learned to play the ukulele. At 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. His 11 years in the military included six in Pararescue. During his leave time, he met Mike Curb, head of the Curb Records label, and was soon a signed artist. Chapman released his first single, “There Is No War,” in 2003. He dedicated the single to families of American soldiers who had died overseas. Chapman recorded two albums for Curb Records shortly after receiving a honorable discharge in Afghanistan from the United States Air Force. He has also released a self-titled EP, followed by his first full album, I Am America.

In 2007, Chapman signed his second record deal with Category 5 Records. He released his first single for Category 5, “House Like That” with producer Billy Joe Walker, Jr., in late 2007. Chapman released a second single, “All I Need,” in 2008, shortly before terminating his relationship with Category 5 Records.
