Meet Inspirational Authors Faith Eidse & Suzan E. Zan

"In this timely novel, Healing Falls, Faith Eidse offers a vision of real, important prison reform, and a clear call for social justice and mother-child reunion. The main character is a young incarcerated artist who, despite struggles and setbacks, joins with a visionary chaplain to create an image of change. I loved the humanity of the characters, their warmth and compassion, despite the pain they each endure. There is danger in the prison—from guards and prisoners—but the focus is on empathy and the potential for personal growth," author Nina Sichel writes.

Faith Eidse, PhD, wrote Healing Falls after volunteering six years in women's prisons, and resonating with mothers separated from children. She, too, was separated from family during revolution in Congo, and while raised between Congo, Canada and the U.S. She is adjunct English prof at Barry University and senior editor at FLHealth, where her "How to Write" series is video-conferenced statewide.
