A benefit for Big Bend Hospice featuring artists working en plein air and food and drink from more than 65 restaurants and caterers
Spring Fling, one of Tallahassee’s most anticipated social events and fundraisers, promises to be even more memorable this year with artists working “en plein air,” for guests’ enjoyment. Attracting 1,000 people annually, Spring Fling is an exquisite garden party that supports Big Bend Hospice, the region’s leader in hospice care for 35 years. Tickets are available now for Spring Fling: Under the Artists’ Moon on May 17 at Tallahassee Nurseries. Visit BigBendHospice.org or call 850-878-5310.
While guests stroll the beautiful pathways of Tallahassee Nurseries, they will enjoy an intimate view of the artistic process. A dozen artists will demonstrate charcoal-pencil drawing, beaded jewelry, silk painting, pastels, pottery, quick sketch using pen and ink, water media, glass beads and painting. More than 65 Tallahassee area restaurants, caterers and bartenders will offer a delicious menu of seafood, French pastries, Italian pasta and antipasto, international cheeses, Iberian pork, wine, beer, bourbon and cocktails. In keeping with Spring Fling tradition, the evening will end with a spectacular fireworks display sponsored by Tallahassee Nurseries.
