Grant goes hometown at the Blue Tavern in Tallahassee next week on Wednesday, April 18. This is a 9 till 10:30 show. On a school night. The theme is: Songs that have been recorded, but very rarely performed.
National touring singer-songwriter and hometown troubadour poet Grant Peeples takes the stage at The Blue Tavern for a mid-week concert with a unique slant. Peeples is known for his axe-sharp socio-political tunes, as well as heart-gigging ballads. His scathingly humorous 'Sunshine State' music video went viral on social media, and his southern gothic tune 'My People Come from the Dirt' and angry anthem 'Patriot Act' are frequent requests.
But listeners will be offered up a different menu, as Peeples plans to play songs that have been recorded and published on any of his 8 studio albums, but rarely played out live in concert.
Beer, wine, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are served at The Blue Tavern, along with a light menu which includes New Orleans style beans and rice and Cuban sandwiches. Grant Peeples takes the stage at 9 pm, with doors at 8:30. There is a $2 cover charge.
The Blue Tavern is located at 1206 N. Monroe Street in Tallahassee. For more information visit www.bluetaverntallahassee.com or call (850) 212-5204. For more about Grant Peeples visit www.grantpeeples.com
