Smoke on the Mountain is a gospel, bluegrass show that's fun for the whole family. You'll sing along and tap your toes to your favorite songs: "Church in the Wildwood", "Angel Band", "Taking a Flight" and more! The year is 1938 in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina. The Sander's family performs their gospel show at a Saturday night sing at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Through song and testimony and some hilarious shenanigans, you learn about the family and their trials and tribulations. Love conquers all! Enjoy a wonderful evening with YOUR family at MadCo's production of Smoke on the Mountain! Limited engagement! Only 8 shows over two weekends. Two shows every Sunday. NEW-Sunday evening performances begin at 7 pm! Don't miss it!

Admission Info

Show only: $25 VIP/$20 non-member/$18 member/$10 students. A $2 historical restoration fee is charged on each ticket by the theater. Show only tickets are always available at the door day/evening of performance.

Dinner/show: $45 VIP/$40 non-member/$38 member/$30 students

Must make dinner reservation by Wednesday for a Friday show; by Thursday for Saturday/Sunday shows. Sunday matinee lunch on April 22 will follow the performance (estimated 2:30 pm). Sunday matinee lunch on April 29 will precede the performance (1 pm lunch). Both matinee lunches are discounted for patrons. Call the theater for more information. NEW-Sunday evening performances begin at 7 pm!

Times listed are Show Times. Theater doors open 30 minutes before the performance begins. Dinner patrons should arrive 90 minutes to 1 hour before show time to eat dinner or purchase beverages from the bar. April 22 matinee only, complimentary appetizers will be served before the performance for the church crowd and lunch will follow the performance at approximately 2 pm.

Parking Info

There is plenty of street parking around the building on all sides. There is also a large city lot across from the courthouse. After hours (after 5 pm) the Monticello News allows us to make use of their lot. Street parking around the back of the building is also available.
