Join Leon County for a lecture sure to strike a chord with Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, Pulitzer Prize winning composer and Francis Eppes Distinguished Professor. Zwilich is widely considered to be one of America’s leading composers in virtually all media. Her works have been performed by most of the leading American orchestras and by major ensembles abroad. Following the lecture, Trio Azul, will perform a cultivation of piano trios among the shelves in the Leon County Main Library. Their distinct musical tastes has led this chamber group to a repertoire engagements of rarely performed piano trios by Claude Debussy and Ernest Chausson, in addition to contemporary works by Ellen Taafe Zwillich.
