Great Music of Underrepresented Composers

Great Music of Underrepresented Composers

Presented by Florida State University College of Music at Longmire Recital Hall - Florida State University

This recital aims to pay tribute to composers who have been highly underrepresented in the classical music world.

Here's what some of the performers have to say:

"There is an entire world of new, relatively unexplored, exciting ideas...every bit as passionate as Brahms, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky." - Bryce Martin (freshman)

"Everybody has something to say. Playing the music of these composers gives us the opportunity to hear something we've never heard before." - Josefina Guzman (junior)

"It is important to perform music that is portraying the contemporary ideals and values of the day." - Yu Ray Chu (sophomore)

"This is important for the pursuit of improvement, advancement, and community." - Lambert Hsieh (DM student)
