LeMoyne Arts Summer Camp- 80s toys through the decades

LeMoyne Arts Summer Camp- 80s toys through the decades

Presented by LeMoyne Arts at LeMoyne Arts

This year we are combining your favorite toys and games with the creativity of art. Join LeMoyne this summer as we play through the decades and see which beloved toys and games got us to where we are today. We'll start out Hoola Hooping into the 50s and Yo-Yoing through the 60s, then we'll go with Stretch Armstrong and the Cabbage Patch Kids into the the 70s. Transformers and Strawberry Shortcake will lead us through the 80s, while Beanie Babies and Power Rangers show us the best of the 90s. To finish off them all lets dive into the 2000s for some of your favorites now like American Girl Dolls and Gaming Devices. We will be exploring as many toys and games in each decade as possible so don't miss out! We'll paint with toy trucks, draw our favorite Barbie & G.I. Joe, and make our own Beanie Babies. A lot of creativity goes into making toys and games, join us to see how it's done!

Camp is available for students grades K-7th, ages 6-12. Each group will rotate through four classes every day: Decorative Arts, 2-D Arts, 3-D Arts, and Ceramics. The final day of each session, friends and family are invited to join us for an ARTY PARTY from 12:30-1:30 p.m. to view art created by their camper. Registration starts MARCH 1, 2018 at http://www.lemoyne.org/lemoyne-summer-art-camp-2018/.
