“Make America Faust Again” this March

Tallahassee—It’s Springtime, Tallahassee! The weather turns steamy. Flowers smother us with their pollen. And the Sunshine State continues its hot streak as “the most sinful State in the nation!!”

It’s true. According to Newsweek Magazine, Florida ranks Number One in ‘anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity and laziness.” And there’s one rat in Florida who’s not in the least surprised-- Mickee Faust, the progressively-inclined, giant rodent entertainer who inhabits the sewers around Railroad Square in Tallahassee.

“Whadda ya expect,” Faust shrugged, “Our State is home to the Soviet Sodom of the South, Mar-A-Lago. Its moral awfulness is infecting the whole dang USA!”

But Mickee Faust and his ethical-minded minions stand ready to battle the unscrupulous Russian-backed Reds with a brand-new cabaret, Make America Faust Again!

“We aim to retake our State and our Country one comic skit at a time,” boasted the indignant sewer dweller. And we’ve got a good hour and a half of original theater in our arsenal! Skits, music, comedy and some fully staged bad jokes to boot! More than enough to skewer those sinners!”

When asked if Make America Faust Again was entertainment masquerading as activism, the illegitimate brother of that better groomed, gnawing mammal in Orlando, replied, “I don’t know. I don’t care. I just wanna MAFA the heck out of it all. And have a good time while I’m doing it.”

Make America Faust Again runs two weekends, March 23-24; and Thursday through Saturday, March 29-31 at the Clubhouse in Railroad Square. All shows start at 8pm. Tickets for “MAFA” are $20 general admission/$15 for students, retirees, and people with disabilities. The show on Thursday, March 29th, is $5 cheaper for everyone. Tickets can be purchased through the company’s website, www.mickeefaust.com. Eclectic Acoustic will be playing their mix of folk and blues music in our backyard on the Marc Masonbrink stage starting at 6:30pm. Bring food from one of the restaurants in or near the Square and make it a picnic!
