Travel back in space and time with LIVE RADIO THEATER!

The Opera House Stage Co. brings 1940's LIVE RADIO THEATER to the Monticello Opera House, Fri. and Sat., March 16, 17, 23 & 24.

The Opera House dining room will become the glamorous Meridian Room of the Park Plaza Hotel, New York City, 1942. YOU are the Live Studio Audience for radio productions of "Sorry, Wrong Number," a murder mystery thriller, "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon," and the show that scared the wits out of millions of Americans, H. G. Wells' "War of the Worlds." If you like, come in costume!

Dinner will be available before the show, or you may buy tickets for the show only.

Catering by Carrie Ann & Co. Menu: Mixed Greens Salad with Homemade Dressing, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Rice Pilaf, Sauteed Seasonal Veggies, Rolls with Butter, Dessert Two Layer Yellow Cake with Chocolate Icing.

Parking Info

There is plenty of street parking around the building on all sides. There is also a large city lot across from the courthouse. After hours (after 5 pm) the Monticello News allows us to make use of their lot. Street parking around the back of the building is also available.
