Willow Chiari is currently a senior at FSU studying English Education. She is a dancer, writer, teacher, tutor, and lover of life! She is currently interning at Godby High School, where she has recently taken over an adventurous 11th grade English class. The initial spark of her passion for this profession has been set ablaze in the face of her first full time teaching experience.

She has been dancing for 12 years in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary, with a bit of Hip-Hop, Irish dance, and Classical Bollywood mixed in. She has only recently dove into the world of writing beyond academic requirement. Thus far, her work is mostly poetry.

She loves all things art, whether in motion or set on the page. This is her first performance of a written work, and she is happy to share the new with you!

Christian Perez is a Florida native, has a suspicion of all things vertical, and is seeking a quiet home with ample room for gardening and leisure.

Tolu Jegede was born in Bloomington, Indiana but spent his early childhood in Lagos, Nigeria. He has an MFA in creative writing from Indiana University, and his work has been published by the Bitter Oleander Press and Mud Season Review. He teaches English at North Florida Community College.

Dorie Spangler is a writer and educator living in Tallahassee, FL. Her poetry has been published in American Chordata and Pure Honey Magazine.

The 621 Salon is a space for writers at every stage of their journey to gather, share, and connect. We aim to foster community and encourage risk-taking and vulnerability. Whether you have never shared your work with an audience or you’ve published multiple acclaimed works, you are welcome here. The 621 Salon is hosted by 621 Gallery in Railroad Square on the third Thursday of every month. We are always looking for new writers and audience members to strengthen Tallahassee’s writing community.
