March Monthly Meeting with Professor Paul Ebbers

March Monthly Meeting with Professor Paul Ebbers

Presented by Tallahassee Flute Club at COCA - Council on Culture & Arts

Former FSU Tuba professor, Paul Ebbers, will give a presentation on pedagogy and breathing. "Learning by DOING is far more effective than TELLING students what to do. Most of us only tell our students information without giving them the right tools. And tools don’t have to be complicated to produce dramatic results! We believe that the complex skills of breathing, tone production and support require in-depth explanation, but here, using simple tools—a straw, a piece of paper and a wall—the learner will easily grasp these complex skills, resulting in a darker, warmer, richer and fuller tone."
