Watch a wood carving demonstration by Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery exhibiting artist, LaVon Van Williams, Jr.
Thursday, February 15, as part of FAMU's annual Artist in Bloom Festival, you are invited to watch a wood carving demonstration by fifth generation wood carver, LaVon Van Williams, Jr. Williams will share with attendees his technique, inspiration, and answer questions about his art form.
The demonstration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on the campus of FAMU in the Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Center, room 107 on the west wing of the building. This demonstration is free and open to the public.
On Friday, February 16, please also join us for the opening reception for LaVon Van Williams, Jr. art exhibition, Goin' Down South at the FAMU Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery. The reception starts at 5:30 p.m.
