The Tallahassee HIV/AIDS Walk is a fundraiser, memorial, awareness event, and music & dance festival all rolled into one day at Cascades Park!
Big Bend Cares’ spring event, the Tallahassee HIV/AIDS Walk, draws hundreds of participants each year. This is the event’s 27th year, and it will be held February 17th, 2018 at the beautiful Cascades Park in downtown Tallahassee.
Individual community members, school and university groups, and faith groups will collect pledges for Big Bend Cares, and then come together for a morning of healthy exercise and camaraderie. After a memorial walk around Cascades Park, we will kick off a festival of live music, testimonials, and food at noon. Tuesday Supper Club, the Seminole Tap Troupe, and another special music guest will perform. During the day, we will provide free Rapid HIV testing, and opportunities to learn more about HIV and AIDS.
This event will be a celebration of all of those who have fought so hard to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. All proceeds will be applied to direct-care services for our clients, and HIV prevention and education for the entire Big Bend region.
To register, donate, volunteer, or find out more information about AIDS Walk, please see our Big Bend Cares AIDS Walk website.
