The FSU College of Music and the University Musical Associates present the first UMA concert of 2018 on Thursday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Opperman Music Hall. This faculty chamber recital, “A Celebration of Bossa Nova and the Music of Antonio Carlos Jobim," will feature Marcía Porter (soprano) with FSU Jazz faculty members David Detweiler (saxophone), Scotty Barnhart (trumpet), William Peterson (piano), Rodney Jordan (bass), and Leon Anderson (drums). Works for the evening will include Jobim's "Triste," "Manhã De Carnaval," "Desafinado," "Garota de Ipanema," and more.
