ArtiGras 2018 at Railroad Square features musicians, artists, food vendors, kids’ activities, a parade and an evening of Louisiana-style music and dance.
Begun in 2009, ArtiGras is an annual event taking place within the Railroad Square Art Park, geographically located between FSU and FAMU in the Greater Frenchtown/Southside Community Redevelopment Area in Tallahassee, Florida. From 2-4 pm there will be vendors, musicians, artists, and kids' activities all around the square. Then the ArtiGras parade will begin at 4 pm--all are invited to participate--not just watch! Join in the 2nd line, in the spirit of New Orleans' Mardi Gras.
Later that evening, at the main stage, we will feature bands and musicians that have been inspired by art and the musical styles in the spirit of New Orleans and S.W. Louisiana Mardi Gras (alcohol served).
In keeping with our mission, all of our events are absolutely free and open to the public. There is no cost to participate, and our organization, the park’s tenants, and many non-profit and community groups offer a wide selection of fun and free activities.
