Midtown Reader is so excited to be celebrating our very first anniversary this November! This first year in the Tallahassee community has been so much fun - we've made new friends, read new books, met authors from across the country, hosted local writers, community leaders, book clubs, baby showers, and more! Along the way we've learned a lot about the bookselling business, and we're excited to use what we've learned for many more years of bookselling here in Tallahassee. The support and enthusiasm from the Tallahassee community has been incredible.

To thank you for your support, and to celebrate the success of our first year, we're hosting an all day party! There will be hourly flash sales on books, literary-themed cupcakes courtesy of Lucy & Leo's, live music, snacks, and refreshments for all.

At 11:00 AM we'll be having a very special Kidtown Reader story hour with Deputy Sheriff Adam Bragg and his K-9 friend Loki!

During the day we'll have flash sales, a "blind date with a book" station, and local authors stopping by, including James Kimbrell, Selena Chambers, Faith Harkey, and more!

At 7:00 PM we'll have a reception, which will be open to the public. There will be beer samples from our neighborhood brewery, Ology, as well as food, wine, and other refreshments.
