2017 Middle East Film Festival

Presented by Middle East Center at Florida State University at Askew Student Life Center

The Middle East Center and The Student Life Cinema at Florida State University are pleased to announce that they are bringing you the 2017 Middle East Film Festival! The festival brings a wide range of award-winning movies spanning across different parts of the Middle East in order to celebrate the region’s cultures, diversity, and strengths.

A reception will take place on the opening night with free food, live music, and dance performances from different local groups and student organizations.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Kind Words (Israel) Sunday, October 29th 5 PM followed by opening reception. Free food, photo booth, music, dance, Arabic calligraphy, and henna.

#ChicagoGirl (U.S. and Syria) Monday, October 30th 6 PM.

As I Open My Eyes (Tunisia) Monday, October 30th 8 PM.

Theo Who Lived (U.S. and Syria) Monday, November 6th 6 PM followed by panel discussion.

The Idol (Palestinian Territories) Monday, November 13th 6 PM followed by closing reception. Free sweets, tea, and music.
