It’s the TENTH ANNUAL FARM TOUR! A day to explore, to get out in the country and try new tastes and activities! Farms are open to the public and have games, produce, products, even mini classes on gardening and farming! Come on out! A GREAT weekend
Millstone Plantation is host to the TENTH ANNUAL FARM TOUR October 14-15th. The tour covers Leon and the surrounding counties and includes over two dozen farms. Farms on the tour offer old fashioned fun along with produce, farm products, gardening and farming tips! Many of the farms have farm animals for the kids to see and some to pet. Two of the larger farms also have many other vendors and farmers set up for your convenience. Come out and watch processes, learn how to make bee hives, taste test local wines, ask the experts questions about your gardening or farming efforts, watch blacksmithing and weaving and other farm skills - take a hayride and eat some GREAT food. Heck - come pet a goat!

There is NO charge for the tour, however a couple of the sites do charge for their activities. Many of the locales have products for sale as well. It is best to have cash with you as many small farmers do not take credit cards! Download a guide book from our site listed here or phone 850294-3918 to find out where to pick one up. Double check the guidebook for times - each farm may have different hours for the tour! Wear comfortable closed toe walking shoes, hats are smart! and bring the bug spray!
