Florida State University’s Student Life Cinema presents The Shining. Directed by Stanley Kubrick (A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey) and based on the novel by Stephen King (It and The Shawshank Redemption), this enthralling film follows the fate of Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) and his family when he takes on the winter caretaker position at the Overlook Hotel. This screening is unfortunately no longer going to be presented on 35mm film. This film is a part of the ASLC's Horror Film Festival. Some of the other films in the festival include Annabelle: Creation (October 13th and 14th), Scream (October 13th), and Raw (October 17th and 18th).
