My Favorite Books is excited to announce our first poetry open mic night hosted by poet Julia Nance!

We’re eager to bring poetry to the Pavilions at MFB, and we welcome you to come in on Wednesday September 20^th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Sign up on arrival for a seven minute spot to share your original poetry or bring a selection from your favorite poet. Or grab a snack, make a new friend, and just listen.

Admission is free, and during the event, all poetry books in the store will be 10% off!

Julia Nance will be hosting our first poetry open mic night. She has spread her poetry and stories like pixie glitter from Chicago to NYC to Miami and everywhere in-between. She currently resides in Tallahassee, FL. After graduating from UT's creative writing program and a brief stint in publishing, she has cobbled together a happy life of workshops, performances, and a day job that pays her to work out.
