Th Bardlings are the junior acting troupe of SOUTHERN SHAKESPEARE CO. Open to students of Middle and High School age, we have tons of FUN while building confidence, understanding Shakespeare, and training young artists in all aspects of theatre.
In 2016, THE BARDLINGS not only performed Caesar Salad to a sold-out audience at the TCC Capitol Center in downtown Tallahassee, students also wrote, devised, produced, directed, and acted in their own versions of some of the Bard’s most famous scenes in ShakespeaRE-TOLD.
THIS YEAR, The Bardlings will participate in monthly workshops on stagecraft and learn skills such as fight choreography, voice control, make up, costuming, and set building & design, and enjoy FREE performances at FAMU, TCC and FSU!
This OPEN HOUSE and future meetings & rehearsals will be held at: THE OASIS CENTER (Behind St John’s) 317 E Call Street beginning Sept 6th at 5:30 pm
Performances of ShakespeaRE-TOLD II will be December 12th and 13th at 7:30 pm at GOODWOOD MUSEUM AND GARDENS.
And Spring Performances of Eighth Night will be May 2nd & 3rd at 7:30 pm at GOODWOOD MUSEUM AND GARDENS May 10th, 11th, 12th & 13th at 6.30 pm at CASCADES PARK
