Ms. Annie S. Harris, artist of “The Journey” art exhibition and a native of Tallahassee, is owner of ASH Gallery located in the Historic Frenchtown Community.
Ms. Harris eloquently conveys the experiences of slavery and inequality for Africans’ in America. Her depiction of the progressive ways of the western world, inspire her display of Africa’s rich roots and spiritual connection. By using a variety of recycled materials, Ms. Harris, a self-taught artist, creates a unique rendition of historical experiences.
“The Journey” exhibit opens at the Historic Union Bank African-American Fine Arts Gallery on Thursday, August 24, 2017 and will be on view until Friday, November 17, 2017.
