Annie S. Harris presents "The Journey"

Presented by Meek-Eaton Southeastern Regional Black Archives and Museum at Historic Union Bank Art Gallery (A Division of MEBA at FAMU)

Ms. Harris eloquently conveys the experiences of slavery and inequality for Africans’ in America. Her depiction of the progressive ways of the western world, inspire her display of Africa’s rich roots and spiritual connection. By using a variety of recycled materials, Ms. Harris, a self-taught artist, creates a unique rendition of historical experiences.

“The Journey” exhibit opens at the Historic Union Bank African-American Fine Arts Gallery on Thursday, August 24, 2017 and will be on view until Friday, November 17, 2017.
