Third-annual evening of great, live, local music benefiting the Tallahassee Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Purple Willie Jam III, an evening of great, live, local music is a fundraiser for the Tallahassee Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This is third year for this event. It will be held Saturday, August 19 at Krewe de Gras Mid-Town Tavern (1304 N Monroe St). Doors open at 6PM. At 7PM, the Fried Turkeys begin the music with their "greasy, hippie, roots, country." Hal Shows and D'amnesiacs bring "surreal verse wedded to rock and roll" to the stage at around 9.
Krewe de Gras offers a full bar with food service available nearby. The evening will also include a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Purple Willie Jam and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and provides funding for research, awareness, and advocacy, well as patient and caregiver support. To donate silent auction items, contact David Wheeler at purplewillie@mac.com.
