This exhibition will feature paintings and photographs from local artists who treasure the great outdoors. Rex Adams, Peter Bigelow, Sandy DeLopez, and Susan Richardson celebrate our canopy roads, overgrown trails and waterways through the masterful use of light, atmosphere, and color. Shimmering coastal scenery and iconic local vistas are brought to life through unusual perspectives, bold bush strokes, and thoughtfully composed photography. An escape from the familiar tangle of concrete and asphalt, this exhibition invites viewers to discover out of the way places unique to our area. Who knows what adventures might be waiting in the great outdoors?

The City Hall Art Gallery is located on the second floor of City Hall, 300 South Adams Street and is free and open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm. This exhibition is one of many curated by the Council on Culture & Arts for the Art in Public Places program on behalf of the City of Tallahassee.
