Meet the Pats on Saturday August 12th! Tallahassee authors Pat Stanford and Patricia Muth with be in the store signing their books from 12pm to 2pm.
Stanford’s Fixing Boo Boo is an account of what happens when Pat’s brain-injured sibling, Barb, comes to live with her. Barb needed help, and Pat and her family wanted Barb to be safe and well cared for, especially after a life-changing accident that left her brain-injured. They thought they were just providing a home for a family member, but they had no idea what dealing with brain injury meant. This is a story of one family and the struggles they faced living with the diagnosis of Brain Injury.
Muth’s A Title in the Making, is about a movement that laid the groundwork for today's populism that never went away. Twenty-some years ago, a populist movement swept America. It was kicked off by a billionaire businessman from Texas named Ross Perot on Larry King Live. Seemingly overnight, people across the nation responded to the call to "wake up, America," and began collecting petitions to put this man on the ballot. This book is a story about these people and what they did to take their country back.
