The 2017 Tallahassee Senior Center’s L3X (Lifelong Learning Extravaganza) is coming the week of September 11-15. About 50 different programs will offer a variety of content to satisfy lovers of art, music, culture, science, nature, history, literature, food, drink and more.

You can learn kayaking or flower arranging, walk with Mastodons or take a nature hike, listen to folk music or jazz, appreciate art or local history, savor artisanal cheese or Spanish food and music, learn how to mix cocktails or prepare goat’s milk soap, and much more.

Two L3X “Launch Parties” are scheduled for Monday, August 7 from 8:30 – 10 am and Tuesday, August 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Participants will get the opportunity to pick up a course catalog, meet some instructors and sponsors, and enjoy refreshments.

Tallahassee Senior Center Foundation members may register for classes beginning August 7. If you are not a foundation member, you will have the opportunity to join at the Launch Parties. Membership prices begin at $25 for individuals and $40 for a couple.

Registration opens to the general public on August 9. Adults ages 18 and older are eligible to register for the classes at www.TallahasseeSeniorFoundation.org. Registration is open until a class fills up but don’t wait too long to sign up because many classes fill quickly. You never know what positive impact an L3X class might have on your life.
