Registration is now open for Summer Art Camp for youth entering grades 2 through 6 in the 2017-2018 school year. The goal of art camp is to serve youth representing all segments of the Decatur County population. Students will spend five days exploring pottery, photography, mixed media, drawing, painting, collage, stamping, weaving, and more. Local artists will provide instruction in their areas of expertise with the assistance of community volunteers. Students enrolled will be able to participate in all sessions, alternating from instructor to instructor, to complete a total of ten or more art projects.

Students should arrive promptly at 8 a.m. each morning of the week of camp, will be served a snack mid-morning, and should be picked up promptly at noon each day. All efforts will be made to ensure clothing is protected, but students should still wear comfortable clothing, and parents should be aware that clothing might get stained. Students will be sent home with all projects completed throughout the week.

If you are planning to enroll your child, be sure to get your registration form and payment in as soon as possible, as there is limited space each week. There will not be a waiting list once all spots are filled.

2017 Art Camp Details:

• Camp dates are (JULY 10 – 14 or JULY 17 – 21) (students will sign up for ONE week only)
• The cost of the camp is $90 per student (Ask about a discount for multiple children)
• Class size is limited to 30 students each week (Register ASAP)
• Camp is open to students entering grades 2 through 6 in the 2017-2018 school year. No exceptions.
