The FSU College of Music is pleased to present the season-opening performance of the University Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Professor Richard Clary, on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 7:30 PM in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Percy Grainger described the six movements of his Lincolnshire Posy as “a collection of musical wildflowers.” This concert will feature Grainger’s masterwork for winds, along with familiar cornerstones of the literature such as Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E-flat for Military Band and recent audience favorites including United Artists by Kenneth Fuchs and Mysterium by Jennifer Higdon.

This concert is part of the University Musical Associates Concert Series, and is ticketed. Seating is general admission, and tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for seniors and non-FSU students; FSU students are free with ID. General parking is available in the St. Augustine Garage located on the corner of Pensacola and Copeland Streets, and the Call Street Garage located on corner of Call and Macomb Streets. Accessible parking is available at the North Entrance of Ruby Diamond Concert Hall and along Convocation Way. The accessible entrance drop-off area is located at the north entrance of Ruby Diamond (the roundabout) and may be accessed by Convocation Way. Elevators are available to take patrons to the appropriate floor. Ushers will help direct patrons to the elevators.
