Join us at the Bradfordville Blues Club on June 3 for a live concert and to celebrate the launch of Florida Music Tours.
To celebrate the launch of Florida Music Tours, an interactive educational, travel and media website that spotlights Florida’s important role in American musical history and promotes the state as a top destination for music enthusiasts, the Florida Department of State is joining with the Bradfordville Blues Club for a launch party. The first tour, “Florida’s Got the Blues,” spotlights the history of blues music in Florida as well as related genres of gospel, jazz and rhythm & blues.
The Bradfordville Blues Club in rural Tallahassee is a classic juke joint and is the recipient of the Blues Foundation’s “Keeping the Blues Alive” award. The club’s June 3 concert features Ocala blues musician Joey Gilmore and his band the TCB Express. Doors open at 8:30 and the show starts at 9:00 PM. You can start your Florida Music Tour beginning May 26 by visiting FloridaMusicTours.com and following Florida Music Tours on Facebook and Twitter.
