Tallahassee’s award-winning barbershop harmony chorus, The Capital Chordsmen, will celebrate the diversity and creativity of The Beatles on June 10 at TCC’s Turner Auditorium.
Tallahassee’s award-winning barbershop harmony chorus, The Capital Chordsmen, will honor the amazing, multi-layered musical legacy of those Mop-Tops from Merrie Ol’ Liverpool at TCC’s Turner Auditorium Saturday, June 10. Under the creative leadership of Director Greg Hilliard, Jr. the full chorus and its barbershop quartets will deliver a two-hour showcase of Beatles-mania songs. Show times are 2:00 and 7:00 pm.
The Chordsmen will sing All You Need is Love, Eight Days a Week, I Want to Hold Your Hand, With a Little Help from My Friends, Hey Jude, the Beatles’ Sunshine Medley, I Will, The Long and Winding Road, and other memorable numbers—including perennial favorite Yesterday. The quartets In-A-Chord, Good Intentions, The Rolling Tones, and women’s quartet Revised Edition will feature A Hard Day’s Night, We Can Work It Out, Penny Lane, Please Please Me, and other memorable numbers.
The guest performers at this celebratory concert will be Tampa’s Easy Street, which won the bronze medal in the 2017 international Seniors’ Quartet competition.
